Wheel

Wheel
Taken 03/03/10 2:00pm
Taken at Bannock
I really liked this photo I just have not found the right project to put it on till know I think it came out very well. I cleaned up the photo some in HDR and then put it in this template.

Fish

Fish
Taken 03/01/10 9:00pm
Taken at Home
It is really hard to get good photos of fish in tanks. they move so fast and there are lots of reflections. But the one thing you do have lots of is light so in order to get a clear pic I adjusted the shutter speed really fast so I would get clearer images and it worked on most of them. I photo shopped some be multiplying the pixels around the fish so the bake ground was darker and not so over exposed. and then put it in this template.

HDR Cabinet

HDR Cabinet

Taken at Bannock
This was a fun project. I really like using the HDR program it really brings my pics to life. I really liked the color in this one originally but after I manipulated it in HDR it looks ten times better.

This one was the one I took three images in to one on. The last two images there was not a lot of difference on but I still think it turned out really nice.

Six Best

HDR Cabinet
Taken from 03/03/10 in between 2:00pm and 5:00 pm
Taken at Bannock
This was hard to pick just six. I got some great photos from Bannock ghost town. I used different photos from there in almost ever project. The one I framed for class is not even on the site and I picked different ones to show my weekly edits. I did use HDR to tweak all six photos to bring out some color. The one with the green room is three different shots all put in to one as well as the of the building throw the window.

Junk Drawer Blend

Junk Drawer Blend

This came out nice to. I simply just put one on top of the other and then used a mask to bring the junk out from the ribbon, using the paint brush with a soft tip. Blending them was more work than I thought I had to really magnify down to get close to the edges.

This is just a bunch of stuff I found in my junk drawer that look random but has some relation with something else in the pic. My favorite thing is how the fruit snacks came out because those are not real fruit snacks they are just cardboard cut outs of fruit snacks but they look real.

This was just some ribbon I had. I put it in this pattern and wove it together and placed it on the scanner.

Edge and Border Effects

Border's
Taken from 02/22/10 at 6:00 pm
Taken at Home
I think that the border and edge effects work better with normal photos, but I like the way these came out. For the first one I used tutorial #12 in the book. Photo shop would not let me choose a canvas extension color but other than that it went fine. The other one I used tutorial #11 it worked OK but it does not like like I painted it on but still a nice effect.

This was a fun project. I did these with a tripod and used blankets to block out any remaining light from outside. The light in the Photo is my cell phone, my name and the other shapes I free handed except the out line of the body. For the out line of the person I just had my wife stand there and I traced her body.

Snake River
Taken from 02/15/10 at 2:40 pm
Taken at Beaver Dick Park
This is my blended image. I opened Photo Shop and under file blended the images below to make this one. I think it came out really nice. I really liked the reflections in the water they came out very clear. The clouds also came threw for me. All together it made for a nice pic.

I took these right as the sun came out that afternoon, the timing was perfect. I really liked the water it looks like glass. In the first set I took there was a really cool large block of ice floating in the middle but that set did not work out. I think photo shop was not sure what to do with it because it was in a different location in every pic. I used a metal post to steady the camera and then just rotated it to get the effect that I was looking for.

Photo Book

A Weeks Worth of Pic's
Taken from 02/02/10 to 02/08/10
All Photos Were Taken at Home
I really liked this project. The more I continue to play with it it seems the more I mess it up. I started out trying to make my own frames but that ended up disastrous. Then I started playing with the provided templates, and found it isn't as easy as you would think to get every thing to fit with out skewing your image. ones every thing was in place I went thorugh and picked Create Clipping Mask on all the images. then I edited the fonts and type and put the whole thing to size.

I took this at the end of my day. My shoes lying on the floor seemed to sum up the day. Thank goodness it was over.

I liked this photo of my wife's eye because she was still a sleep and just opened her eye right as I was taking the photo.

This was a nice close up that i took several pics of. This one was my favorite. I used the tulip and killed the flash for this one.

This one made me smile when I saw it. I also used the tulip and used flash. I think the flash gives it a more surprised expression.

I picked this one because of the color. It is like a green metallic, I thought it was cool.

I liked the reflection off this one you cant really tell what is a reflection and what the glass is distorting behind it.

I liked this one because I get the impression of the warmth coming off the toaster. You can also see the cums pretty clear at the bottom of it.

Nana's Portrait

Nana's Portrait

Taken at home

This was lots of fun to get my wife to pose for. She hates when I take photo's of her, so in order to get these I had to chases her around for wile. Funny thing is most of the ones i used she didn't pose for they wear the ones she was still fighting me on. I really like the ange of this one it has a good nature to it.

Sisters Portrait

Sisters Portrait

Taken at my sister in-laws home

I liked this photo primarily because both sisters seem to have the same fascicle expression. Which makes for a fun pic. I took at at there home using a flash. I tried using natural light but it was to grim out for much light and the lighting in the home seemed to artificial.

Portrait Enhancement

Kaylee Bug
02/01/10 4:00pm
Taken at sister in-law's home
I really liked this pis it was fun and Kaylee had fun with it to. I used the red eye tool to knockout the flash from her eyes and the blemish tool to clean up a scab she had on her nose, and any other blemishes I could see. Kids are hard to clean up there skin already looks great maybe you could use the blemish tool to clean off their Kool-Aid mustache. I also cropped out some of the original and used the adjustment layer exercise to make her stand out more. I also used the clone stamp to black out the flash reflection from the TV.

Color Replace

This was a very handy tool to use. There are lots of photos I could do this to that could stand a face lift. Other than the color replace I just cleaned her up some with the blemish tool. I love the facial expression.

Plants and Animals

Plants and Animals
01/25/10 10:00pm
Taken at home

I took these pic's at my home, fortunately my wife loves plants and i love animals. So I had some good subjects. The lizard really turned out well, there is a heat lamp on his cage that I could position as I needed to get really nice lighting. I did not edit any of these, they are as taken.
